Perm hosts first-ever Meeting of Municipal Employees of Partner Cities

Perm welcomed municipal representatives from Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Kazan, Novorossiysk, Orenburg, Tyumen, Ufa, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl.
On the first day, the guests of the 2025’s Youth Capital learned about the activities of the Youth House and the School of Creative Industries, introduced their management teams, and took part in a series of themed round tables: “Best municipal practices and current challenges in urban infrastructure and services”, “Best municipal practices and current challenges in the social sphere”, “Best municipal practices and current challenges in the sphere of public relations and social media engagement”, “Development of corporate culture and mechanisms of attracting new employees to the municipal service”. The participants explored such topics as urban landscaping and greening, housing and utilities services, the development of urban social infrastructure, and strategies for effective citizen feedback, among other issues.
Delegations also visited key city facilities. The first stop was the sports school “Spartak”, which houses the only specialized center in Perm and Perm Krai for the development of track and field, badminton and combat sports. They also had a chance to explore the work of the newly opened model ‘Library for Youth’ launched at the end of May. Perm is currently undergoing a large-scale transformation of its municipal libraries into unique, multifunctional community hubs – intellectual and creative centers, offering a welcoming space for reading, learning, socializing, working, and relaxing. With the support of the city authorities and the national project “Family”, all municipal libraries in Perm are supposed to become model libraries by 2027.
The participants of the meeting also visited the exhibition hall of the Perm Printing Factory GOZNAK, the city sports and cultural complex “Record”, the smart sports ground “Orange Summer”, the community center “Yanvarsky” and the observation deck on the embankment in Kirovsky District.
